Elizabeth
received her specialized training as a Certified
Ophthalmic Technician from the Prentice Eye Institute
in 1990. Prior to joining Dr. Hale in 1997, she
assisted a corneal specialist for over six years. It
was there that she gained specialized experience in
external ocular pathology. Elizabeth has been an
ocular surgical assistant for many different
procedures including corneal transplants, cataracts
and cosmetic oculoplastics. She received her excimer
laser training from VISX University in San Jose,
California. Elizabeth is involved in every step of the
patient care process, from the initial consultation
and eye exam, to assisting Dr. Hale in the operating
room, and then following the patient through their
postoperative care.

Monique
Gingras has 20 years of experience in health care management
and has spent the last 11 years in Ophthalmology in the
practice of Dr. Lanny B. Hale. She is the Director of
Operations for the Hale-Qamar Cataract and LASIK Centers in
Wisconsin and in Arizona. She is also the Director of
Operations of the Wisconsin Eye Laser Center in Milwaukee
and the Scottsdale Eye Laser Center in Arizona.
Monique has and continues to provide
advice to
refractive surgery practices on productivity issues through
implementation of practice logistics. Since 1992, she has
spoken to doctors, administrators, technicians and support staff
at several training courses on issues of refractive surgery practice
management and marketing. Her hands on experience in
developing two free standing laser centers and two fully
dedicated refractive practices offers great insight to her
audience. Her personal business, sales and marketing
training and background contribute greatly to her success.
Her goal is always to share experiences and pearls that may
make a difference in someone else's practice.
